Now and Then AT HOME Edition - Local Musicians! Poison Love, Neil Howard, Jaimie Lilly, Brewster Smith
Original air date August 15, 2020 | Time 58:00
We are surrounded by a beautiful landscape, filled with talented musicians, writers, actors and artist. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful community and it's my pleasure to share their songs with you today. I'll be featuring local musicians once a month in my weekly broadcast, Saturdays 3-4pm, on WJFF RADIO CATSKILL.
Poison Love is an acoustic trio with guitar, violin and percussion singing Americana original songs about our town and it's people. Jaimie Lilly is a songwriter with an interesting history, singing with a band in NYC's East Village and now performing as a solo singer songwriter. Her personal lyrics are powerful. Neil Howard owns a legendary music venue, COLONY in Woodstock NY and fosters the local musicians in his area. He's successful with the club but he also is a gifted musician himself with songs from his CD "Bottle Letter" from 2007. Where I live in Callicoon NY, we also have an active music venue, Rafter's Tavern which is owned by Brewster Smith and his wife Molly and their business partner Keith. Brewster is a gifted songwriter, singer, guitarist and drummer with a spectacular vocabulary of different styles and genres. He has a long history of performing and I will feature more of his songs in upcoming programs.
