Art Thief - Weed is Tight Sly and the Family Stone

Art Thief has just released a Debut Album. The musicians are from Beacon, NY and feature the songs of Samuel Smith on bass. The lyrics are humorous and the music is complex but so entertaining, like Frank Zappa is some ways considering the instrumental mastery of the entire band.

Coldplay released a new album which was first broadcast up to the international space station!

Check it out every Sat at 3pm "Now and Then" on https://WJFFRadio.org or 90.5fm Radio Catskill.

Earth Chant

Earth, Water, Air, Fire
We are made from the stars, the billion year old carbon in our bodies. We are 90% water. Everything around us is as alive as we are, the trees, the rocks, the water has it's own memories. The unique and impenetrable mystery of creation. April 30,2021 at Cabernet Frank's in Parksville. NY

Duality

The road I live on is in the countryside and there are no lanes painted on the surface. I was driving home and it occurred to me there is no left or right and I was in the middle. When Yahweh separated the day from the night, he saw that it was good. I take that for myself. She saw that it was good. The world I live in is the world as I see it. I choose what I see. I create everything around me with my thoughts. And as a species that's how we exist. All of us imagining life, together. My guitar technique is inspired by Joni Mitchell and Michael Hedges. If I had to describe my music genre, I call it "ArtRock".

Billie Eilish - When We Fall Asleep Where Do We Go? Joni Mitchell - For the Roses Daniel Johnston

Vulnerability and authenticity are the most desirable traits for a singer-songwriter. Billie Eilish Billie Eilish swept the Grammys in 2019 when she was only 17 years old. She is releasing her second album on July 30, 2021 but I can play you the first single from it "Your Power". The Austin musician Daniel Johnston began his music making at home on his boom box and handed out free cassettes on the street. When Kurt Cobain wore a t-shirt to a music award ceremony featuring the artwork of Daniel Johnston he launched his career. I end the program with songs from the impressive catalog of Joni Mitchell. She describes her interior world with lyricism and depth. She is my favorite singer-songwriter and I have learned many of her songs and guitar techniques. At the very end of the program I offer you an original song of my own "Sleeping Outside". Check it out every Sat at 3pm "Now and Then" on https://WJFFRadio.org or 90.5fm Radio Catskill.
