Radio Catskill's Fall Fund Drive featured LIVE music in the studio all day. My guest was Ailise, an Irish singer songwriter with Greg Castro on guitar and Nick Sherman on bass. They play her original songs and a couple of covers.
Born in Ireland and now residing in the mystical Catskill mountains of upstate New York, AILÍSE carries the stories of those who came before her. Her music bridges past and present with a sound that is rooted in ancestral spirit. In her songs, AILÍSE pulls on themes of change, personal evolution and re-igniting the fires within.
AILÍSE has completed grades in ABRSM on classical violin and holds a bachelor’s degree of Performing Arts in Voice from the Irish World Academy of Music & Dance at the University of Limerick, Ireland.
