Sting was live at Amsterdam's Rijksmuseum in a concert entitled "The Night Watch" where he performed right in front of the famous Rembrandt painting as the backdrop. Surrounded by Vermeer and other famous works of art in the National Museum, he played a guitar from the 17th century that once belonged to Louis IVX. The guitar was also a magnificent work of art, black with images of birds and flowers. The hush in the room, the energy created in that space was unique.
Jacob Collier is on a world tour in support of his recent release "The Light of Days". In Rija, Latvia, he climbed up to the top of the tower of St. Peters Church and played an acoustic cover of James Taylor's "You Can Close Your Eyes". He performed a short version of his song "Summer Rain" and Paul McCartney's "Yesterday" in an underground cavern in Grundy County, Tennessee. Jacob gave a TED Talk on Sept 22, 2026 entitled "The wiggly wonder of music" which was so delightful that we listen to the full ten minute talk.
