Richie Havens, American singer-songwriter and Peace Activist
Richie Havens went to Greenwich Village in the early 60's and Albert Grossman signs him to Verve, he releases his first album in 1967 "Mixed Bag". We hear Bob Dylans' "Just Like a Woman" and Lennon and McCartney's "Eleanor Rigby" and "Adam" an original composition. From 1968 the title track of "Something Else Again" using sitar and "Run Shaker Life". His most recent recording is from 2008 "Nobody Left to Crown". We hear "Hurricane Waters", "Fates" and "Won't Get Fooled Again" by the Who's Pete Townsend. He published his autobiography in 2000 "They Can't Hide Us Anymore".
