Seals and Crofts, American singer-songwriter duo
In 1970 they recorded "Down Home", their 2nd album, live in a studio near Woodstock with producer John Simon (The Band). Jim Seals writes most of the songs, vocals, violin and guitar and Dash Crofts sings and play mandolin and guitar. The lyrics often reflect their Baha'i faith and have a positive and uplifting bent. The delicate arrangements between the guitar and mandolin are so unique. Both Seals and Crofts were from Texas and the southern accent and style can be heard in the songs. In 2004 they recorded "Traces" and we hear "The Euphrates".
