Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks - West Coast Swing
The American singer-songwriter Dan Hicks has a unique style he calls "folk Swing" with acoustic live performances on his early albums "Where's the Money" 1971, "Strikin' It Rich" from 1972 and his recent "Selected Shorts" from 2006 and "Tangled Tales" 2009. He does a remarkable cover of Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues". His Bay area jazz influences are charming and humorous. We also hear a cover of "Caught in the Rain" by the Bleecker St Reality Band from 1993 in NYC. This was my own band and I sing and play guitar.
