Steve Winwood, British organist, guitarist, producer, singer-songwriter
As a teenager Steve Winwood was a backup musician for US R&B singers touring in the UK in the early '60s like Muddy Waters and Chuck Berry. He developed his distinctive style on Hammond B-3 organ and guitar. He started the band Traffic in 1967 and was with them through 1975, we hear cuts from "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" and "Shootout at the Fantasy Factory". Since 1977 he has released nine solo albums, we hear his most recent release from 2008 "Nine Lives".
