Eric Burdon's 2013 Album "Till Your River Runs Dry"

Eric Burdon is best known for his work with The Animals and we hear from 1964 "It's My Life", "House of the Rising Sun", "Boom, Boom" and "We Gotta Get Out of this Place". Like so many British musicians he was inspired and influenced by American Blues and R&B. We hear John Lee Hooker's original 1962 recording for "Boom, Boom". In 1970 Eric Burdon joined WAR and they recorded three albums, we hear "Slippin' Into Darkness", "Spill the Wine" and "Low Ryder".

He began his solo career in 1971 and has done 16 albums, he most recent 2013 album is named "Till' Your River Runs Dry" and we hear "Devil and Jesus" and "Wait". He listened to Bo Diddley and sang at Bo's funeral in 2008 and wrote a song to him "Bo Diddley Special". Eric Burdon has a strong, deep voice that has remained young and vital into his 70's.
